We’re asking for 1250 USDC to fund the production and shipping of a Noggles rail for Appcon Milan, which will then be donated to the local community for permanent installation in a Milan skate park.
Besides making this the first Noggles rail in Italy, our goal is to also present one of the most iconic Nouns pieces on Milan Design Week’s global stage for one week, serving as a powerful symbol of Nouns and Ethereum to new audiences.
We also submitted a separate proposal to Nouns DAO to fund a mural and a showcase of apps, art and merchandise at Appcon. The two proposals have been kept separate to allow Gnars and Nouns DAOs to focus on their respective missions, and if both were to pass the overall presence of Nouns would further increase.
Appcon is the first event dedicated to showcasing the top Ethereum apps and experiences. It takes place on April 7-13 during Milan Design Week—the biggest annual design event in the world—offering activities, talks, and interactive experiences to over 50k visitors.
As the founder of Slice and being based in Milan, I'm personally invested to make this event a success in Italy and surface the best of Ethereum to the world.
For more information, visit the Appcon Event Page.
The ramp follows the official design guidelines and will be produced by an Italian metalworking company in time for the event.
During the Design Week, the Noggles rail will be installed at the BAM park, next to the "Vertical Forest" skyscraper — one of the most frequented areas of Milan.
The venue (Stecca3) is an active socio-cultural center and will also host other activities related to sports and skateboarding during the event, further improving the relevance and impact of the Noggles rails.
After the event, we'll donate the rail to the hosting community and work with them and city management to secure its permanent installation in one of Milan's parks.
