This proposal aims to integrate Kanz Ibrahim and Ryan Shema into the Gnars DAO community by gifting each a Gnars NFT
Hello, my name is Kanz Ibrahim, and I am one of the founders of Ride BMX Uganda. I have been riding BMX for several years, learning and teaching others, which has significantly contributed to the sport’s growth in Uganda. Through my journey, I have encouraged many young people to join BMX, fostering social change and cultural growth in our local scene. Additionally, I have been involved in acquiring BMX gear and sharing resources to support the community, making new friends along the way.
BMX Uganda is a non-profit organization founded by Kanz and Ryan, dedicated to promoting BMX riding and empowering Ugandan youth, starting from age five and above. The organization provides workshops, events, and training sessions to nurture talent, encourage personal growth, and support community development.
Beyond BMX, BMX Uganda actively engages in social causes, such as the “Ride Against Malaria” initiative, in collaboration with NBS Television, the Rotary Club of Kisaasi-Kyanja, and Fun Cycling Uganda. Through these efforts, BMX Uganda has demonstrated a commitment to using sports as a vehicle for positive change.
The organization actively shares its activities on Instagram, showcasing young riders, community events, and the positive impact of BMX on Ugandan youth.
Am Shema Ryan, a dynamic individual who seamlessly blends passion for BMX riding with expertise as a software engineer. With over three years of active participation in the BMX community, i have honed skills at the street mastering tricks and pushing my limits. Off the ramps, i channel the same dedication and precision into coding and developing innovative software solutions.
Kanz and Ryan learned about Gnars through Ephraim and Isaac from the Kampala Skate Initiative. They were drawn to Gnars’ mission of supporting action sports and fostering a global network of athletes and enthusiasts. The ability to connect with like-minded individuals worldwide and access new opportunities through Gnars excites them, and they are eager to contribute to the community.
