In June last year, we ran another open skateboard trick contest, which received 12 submissions and was won by web-gnar (who happens to be associated with Gnars as well).

What’s special about poidh is that it allows people to pool money for bounties, 100% onchain, 100% decentralized (so no one loses access to their funds until the bounty is confirmed).
If we can keep incentivizing fun activities that generate great content, I think there’s a big opportunity to showcase how crowdfunding with crypto can become a breakthrough app for the industry. Imagine a $10,000 bounty for someone to break a skateboarding world record, all incentivized and confirmed 100% onchain. Or fans crowdfunding a bounty for a specific skater to claim if they win gold at the Olympics. We want to use onchain value to move people towards specific goals, and there’s no better team than Gnars to help us figure out the best way to do that in the skateboarding world.
