I’m Monik Santos, a professional surfer, athlete, and volunteer at TPM, currently ranked #6 in Brazil’s national elite circuit. I’ve won major titles, including Brazilian Champion and victories in the WSL World Circuit. Despite these achievements, I still don’t have a primary sponsor, and my monthly income from supporters is only $170.
During my first six months with Gnars, I had incredible experiences that allowed me to compete in global events and achieve significant results. A particularly special moment was being invited to A GREAT DAY IN THE STOKE, an exclusive competition for Black women surfers from around the world, where I took first place.
Additionally, I designed hats and stickers to promote the community, created Instagram content to bring more people into Gnars, and actively participated in Warpcast, Flows, and Discord, engaging with members and learning more about the culture.

With six more months of support, I will be able to compete with better structure, create high-quality content, and develop NFTs to give back to the community. I am fully committed to growing with Gnars and proving that collaboration and opportunities can inspire more kids to pursue a career in sports.
The main event I will compete in during these six months with Gnars is the Dream Tour (Brazil’s elite national circuit).
